I recieved the D3 500 by accident actually, I ordered a D2 500, gotta go throw made good on sending me the wrong disc through their customer service department and I ultimately decided to buy the D3 anyway.
First impressions, it feels great in my hand, I was hoping it wasn't too floppy as the D2 is closer to a destroyer and D3 is slightly less stable. But taking it out and doing some field work with it, it's a Lazer beam when needed, and giving it a little height and thrown near flat, slight hyzer, to get a full S-curve. This became my furthest flying disc. It has a predictable fade at the end that seems to always come back, but not too harsh that it flare skips too far left (RHBH). Broke my PB distance on flat ground with this disc the first day, and broke 400 ft for the first time on flat ground too. Great disc highly recommend.
Side note, it flies similar to a DD Captain or a Discraft Thrasher, but better in my opinion. I love the captain, the Thrasher seems to be less forgiving and flip over completely compared to the D3 or Captain. But the D3 feels closer to a destroyer than a Captain and I think that's why I like isn't so much since I've been throwing a Destroyer since I started playing. Sorry for the long review, hope this helps your decision!
